Gunners mates are responsible for the carrying into action and maintenance of guide missile launching systems, underwater volatile weapons such as torpedoes, come ups and missiles and the systems used to launch them, gun mounts and different ordnance equipment, as well as small fortify magazines. They work with electrical and electronic circuitry: mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

What They Do
