Honoring the Dead

Sergio Troncoso, a well-known author composed humanityy works, in particular a book titled The Last Tortilla & other(a) Stories, that contained many different short stories within it. The Last Tortilla and mean solar daytime of the Dead both introduce the reader to two different Latino familys, one and only(a) living in Mexico and the other in America. Both families have many similarities and differences. Troncoso gives us background of Latino holidays and traditions that families use to honor their deceased loved ones. My synthesis provide include the similar and different characteristics of each family and the themes that Troncoso wants us to view from the readings. In specific Troncoso wants us to see how the family deals with finish, the traditions and holidays they practice, and the reactions of everyone involved with the death of the loved one. We all have different ways of reacting to situations and dealings with them, Troncoso lets us feel and see how these different families react.
Troncoso introduces us to the Marquez family in The Last Tortilla, a Latin American family. We come into their keep around Christmas, two years after the mother had passed on. Troncoso gives us insight to the family members and how they interact with each other after the death of their mother.



The characters include a father, a stepmother, three daughters and one son.
