Alexander Hamilton Biography
Alexander Hamilton, (1757-1804), is a very important man in the accounting of America. He is best known for his political help in the money issues of government after the American Revolution and he is also well known for being the main writer of The Federalist Papers, a document that success affluenty gained many followers for the penning during the ratification of the Constitution. The document had said many good points of having a strong central government, and had said many of the bad points of the Articles of fusion that had a weak government. Without Hamiltons help in the government, America would go astray.
Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, 1757 on the West Indian island of Nevis. He was the illegitimate son of James Hamilton, a Scottish merchant, and Rachel Faucett Lavien. He had one brother named James who was two years sr. than Hamilton. Much of Hamiltons history is still unknown because he was an unlawfully born child. Hamiltons father, James Hamilton, had never done well in his business enterprises. When Hamilton was ten years old, his father had abandoned the family consisting of himself, his brother, and their mother, in an unknown place with no money.
The family now opened a small shop to earn enough money to survive, and briefly after Hamilton found a job being a clerk of Cruger and Beckman trading post since he had shown great talents as a clerk. Unfortunately, a year later Hamiltons mother died, and he with his brother fended for themselves. Luckily, Hamilton found friends who raised funds to send Hamilton to a grammar school of Elizabethtown, New Jersey in 1773.
