Relativism

Relativism is the idea that ones beliefs and values are mute of ones society agriculture or even so ones own individual values (Mosser, 2010). With that world said everyday a person from a culture conducts some kind of virtuous choice. That moral choice that he or she chooses may be viewed as right or wrong by other cultures. In the article, Some honorable minima by Lenn E. Goodman there are views of four different aspects of moral philosophy and relativism and Goodman argues that certain things are just wrong. I will expectk the challenges Goodman presents to relativism and provide my own thoughts on such universal moral requirements.
One of the areas that Goodman reflects on close being wrong in her article is genocide. In her article title, Some Moral Minim Goodman states, Genocide tar gain individuals as members of group, seeking to destroy a race, culture, linguistic or ethnic identity (Goodman, 2010). After the family line 11, 2011 attack on the United States of America, the officials of the United States thought about a germ warfare (Ross, 2007). The United States officials had the idea that this would spank their enemies in large metrical composition and was a way of defense. With believe that this was the way to win a war against others in numbers is an example of relativism.



Later on in the article Goodman states, sell murder is wrong, then not for its scale but likewise for willfully negating individuality, typing its victims and stirring hatred against the putative failings of the reference (Goodman, 2010). I will agree with this description. I agree with the statement because after 9-11 attack many American people would see a Muslim and go ahead to believe that he or she was a terrorist because it was Muslims who were involved with the 9-11 attack. There is not discrepancy from the other Muslims being labeled terrorist then Muslims thinking that every American that died on September 11 held the same beliefs that bag was fighting against.
