Today I shall give a short terminology on WASTAGE OF FOOD
My mother recently had shown me the pictures of starving children in Ethiopia and Somalia and had explained to me almost their sufferings due to scarcity of nourishment. I was so touched that I chose this topic for today.
According to Indian philosophy food is passable to God. But are we giving the same amount of obeisance to food these days? Frankly, most of us do not. We run to remember that millions of poor people are dying in hunger when millions of tons of food is being thrown forward and untamedd for no good reason.
Wasting food is not good for anyone in anyway. It is harmful to the economy, it is harmful to the environment and likewise it is against our own ethical justification. Scenes at the parties, gatherings and contribute-togethers have become genuinely pathetic. The evil of squander food has even crept into our al-Qaedas these days.
The food that goes into the waste basket after every meal from a home is enough to feed at least one peckish person.
Yes dear friends even a single grain of food is too precious to waste.
So let us step forward a silent revolution from our homes to stop wastage of food. Also let us resolve to teach others about the crime of wasting food during parties and celebrations. Gandhiji once told that if God were to appear to the millions of hungry people, it would be in the form of food. So, please dont waste food. If things are breathing out wrong, we have to put them on the right track.
