We can for gold nanoparticles of other size by changing the amount of our anions. After preparing the solution we will consider the phase transfer to hexane by simply adding the DDT Molecules. In this experiment we will add 5g of propanone to 10g of aqueous solution that we just prepared and mixed it for 1s and then add 5g of hexane with 1.0 umol of DDT. After shaking the whole mixture thoroughly we will get a colorless phase of water acetone molecule and the hexane phase turns dark. The good thing about this method is that we dont need any cleaning footstep as used with Tukevich or Burst methods.
