In Morals of the Prince, Machiavelli states with sarcasm that champion has to fear a leader to respect him. Personally, I believe this is a false program line from the deceased Italian leader. To respect a leader, one necessarily does not pull in to respect him/her, but to honor their leadership qualities, and the results that leader receives. If one fears their leader, they are more likely to act sneakily and to be quite intimidated, even if the leader demilitary personnelds respect. Also, Machiavellian became a landmark to describe those who aim to deceive and manipulate others to create a personal advantage. He states that one must do actions of negativism as well as good deeds. This is an outspoken statement coming from Machiavelli, one that is frowned upon by many leaders, and is also imagination to be the origin of the negativity towards politics and politicians in general.

In a time of great chaos and confusion, with all eye on the president of the United States, George W. bush turned toward nationalism to quell this chaos. Supplementing his case with nationalism, Bush evidently recognized the back up from other countries, as well as his fellow countrymen.
