Doctrine Of The Soul

Doctrine of the Soul

Platos doctrine of the soul is described in his metaphor of a chariot being pullight-emitting diode by 2 horses. One horse symbolizes mans passion, i.e.: sex, love, money, fame, power, and anything the typical human does for their hold please or entertainment. The other horse symbolizes mans spirited record, which is usually viewed as religion. Lastly, Plato describes the chariot as being mans reasoning/brain.

Plato was criticized by many for his beliefs. The battalion who lived wealthy and powerful disagreed that it wasnt ill-advised behavior and that being lead by spiritual nature or even believing in religion was blind. hence the opposing group of people who were strictly being led by their spiritual nature argued that it too was not irrational and the people living by their passions were bad and acting in pure sin.

I personally agree with Platos theory, for I live my life standing in the chariot. I am a strong Christian or commonly referred as a Roman Catholic.

Even though I intend strongly in religion, Ive done and still do many human passions.

I switch met numerous people throughout my life. I met the types who are strictly being led by religion, people who are being led strictly by passions, and very few who are standing in the chariot with me. In my vista if you dont down your passions, you will never thrive in life since you brush offt learn; but if you dont have a deeper belief and the help/guidance of religion, you wont be truly happy. Then again, Ones opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance.-Plato.If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
