Throughout history in that respect paybeen many enceinte philosophers. For my paper I have chosen the two in which I found to be very interesting with colossal views on metaphysics, moral philosophy, individualal identity, existence of God and evil, on with the views of epistemology. prank Locke and William James both have different views on these subjects in life. Although at times the views the two philosophers pose do not always seem to be realistic. The two of them were both very well known in their time.
According to John Locke the natural deposit of humanity is wiz in which there is no civil or political authority which Locke calls the ‘state of nature’. Unlike Plato and Aristotle who argued
In the state of nature, we dont have to attend any law except for the law of nature. People devise a society, according to Locke, in order to protect distributively other, and make agreements -- that is, laws -- on how to settle disputes between them. This is the basis of what Locke calls the cordial contract. However, Locke believes that the social contract, and society, does not completely replace the rights that pot have in a state of nature.
In particular, according to Locke, people continue to have the right of nature. To Locke, the right of prop is one of the most fundamental rights, along with life and liberty. The protection of life, liberty, and property is the basis of the social contract.
Locke did not believe in preexistent notions or innate ideas. For Locke, all ideas are obtained either finished the senses, or by reflection upon ideas – which still arrive via the centripetal organs. Locke believed that a person’s identity consisted in this: duration of consciousness. As long as a person held uphold memories of their own past, with no break in consciousness, then that person’s identity could be established or held certain.
